The SSR Smart Arrow Board (SmartAB™) system is an Arrow Board fleet monitoring system that is a combination of web-deployed software and hardware devices that can be installed on most Arrow Boards in the market today. The system enables managed and secure remote Arrow Board monitoring capabilities where there was none in the past.
Through this combination of capabilities, the SmartAB system enables Construction Work Zone teams to tools to offer improved safety by fully utilizing their human resources and managing their Arrow Boards more effectively.
Following is a summary of the significant SmartAB system features:
An intelligent computer-based system aboard each Arrow Board keeps track and reports the Arrow Board status.
Real-time mapping and status information aids DOT project management and construction work zone compliance.
Utilization of the Global Positioning System (GPS) tracks Arrow Board assets and reports the display orientation
A secure mobile gateway facilitates real-time 4G data communications between the Arrow Boards and SmartAB host systems, desktop web clients and mobile devices.
Built-in reporting allows users to display historical reports that detail the operational status of their Arrow Board fleet, ensuring CWZ SOP compliance with 3rd party contractors.
An optional feature is to interface with the IRIS ATMS incident feeds. When Arrow Boards are operationally active IRIS operators will be provided valuable and actionable Arrow Board information automatically.
